For those of you who may not be familiar with the human sleep cycle, restorative sleep is the type of sleep we all want to be having. It is deep, dream-filled, and leaves us feeling rested and our bodies feeling, well, restored. Restorative sleep should account for 50 percent of the total night's sleep and does more positives to the body then we have time to cover today.
Non-restorative sleep on the other hands is, to put it bluntly, but accurately, a waste of time. People who have regular no restorative sleep score lower on daytime tests, poorer motor skills and are more likely to describe themselves as being in pain, and in truth, they probably are as we will discuss in the next point.
