
2. Tingling
Spinal stenosis can cause tingling throughout the entire body. It is often reported by sufferers of spinal stenosis that their extremities fall asleep and cause the familiar “pins and needles” effect. This happens, as the nerves, and in turn, the spinal cord, are responsible for all sensations of feeling. Most people don’t realize how closely connected your nerves are to the experiences felt in your body.
If you experience this pins and needles feeling, then we suggest just “shaking it off” as you normally would until feeling returns. If you notice it persisting on a regular basis, then you should begin to make note of when it occurs and how frequently.
