Most of us, along with some of our parents, have likely heard of the Slim-Fast diet system, mostly because it has been around for so long, and that is because it works. This is another commercially available diet that has its users us a range of their meal replacement products including snacks, meal replacement bar and shakes, and one “regular” meal from a list of approved recipes on their website. If you stick to this diet and are honest with yourself, the likelihood of you losing weight is pretty darn good.
Aside from the almost guaranteed success, these diets typically come with long term success, simply due to the sheer convenience of the plan. And with no foods being forbidden, you can allow yourself a little bit of wiggle room. On the downside, these guys do little to educate, which leaves a heavy reliance on their products (no wonder they have been in business so long). So there is always the fear of putting weight back on once you get off the products.
