Most people have a fair bit on their minds every day. Packing clothes for the gym, picking up dry cleaning, remembering your speech for your work dinner and meal prepare just a few of the things that most of us think about every day. And while some days are better than others, for the most part, we are able to get through our lives with minimal problems and confusion. However, when a person has a broken heart, their mind can seemingly enter a fog that makes common sense the least common thing about them.
Are you so preoccupied with your breakup that you put your underwear on backward, are wearing two different kinds of socks, put your phone in the fridge and spent 20 minutes at your front door looking for your house keys, when they were in your hand the entire time? Don’t feel bad if these sound familiar, because becoming a little scatterbrained is a common side effect of a broken heart. Usually, this is a result of the mind being so focused on the sadness you are feeling, that your brain seemingly misses events that are happening in real time. Don’t worry, you're not going insane, but we totally agree it may feel like that for the first little while.
