The mind of an alcoholic, whether they have admitted to being one or not, is different than the mind of someone who isn’t. For them, the idea of having just one drink is a nice thought, but nearly impossible to follow through with, and the desire to drink can become so great that once in the cycle, just about every other responsibility in life from work, to family and friends can all take a back seat to drinking.
