Golf legend Jack Nicklaus was admitted to South Florida's Jupiter Medical Center in October of 2010. He was complaining of severe abdominal pain and was miserable. At 70 years of age, he almost waited too long to go to the hospital. He suffered at home for several days before his wife insisted he sought medical attention. Thankfully, she was right to urge him to get help. Doctors said if he had waited one more day he would have needed emergency surgery for his diverticulitis. However, with a round of antibiotics, he was able to reduce the inflammation and pain.
