What Is Causing My Frizzy Hair?

Oh ladies, we’ve all been there. Whether it’s a super humid day, or you just suffer from a life of frizzy hair struggles it’s definitely a game changer once you get that mane under control. The first piece to this frizzy hair puzzle is to determine why it’s occurring. Perhaps you reside in a super humid city like Houston, Texas, that could be your enemy. Maybe you have been blessed with super curly tresses and at certain times of they year they just get a tad too wild? Whatever the case may be, there is a cure for the frizzy hair days!

According to the team at The Talko, the best lines of defense seem to be using hair masks and/or a hair booster. Masks are a great, inexpensive way to smooth the hair, and reduce that unappealing frizz. Since hair masks require a little bit more time and effort on your part washing the product out in the shower, using a booster may be an easier fix for those on the go. What is a hair booster?

They’re basically products that help eliminate the frizz with ingredients such as Keratin, various oils, and often come in a serum formula. They work on any hair type, but do use them sparingly before you see the full result at first as some have oily hair than others and this could cause the hair to appear greasy if using too much product. Simply apply a dime sized amount to the palm of your hand and work the serum through the ends of the hair without applying much to the roots.

Some other tips for decreasing those bad hair days is to not wash your hair in very hot water. We know, you love that quite time in the shower to relax with hot water, but you’ll have to turn the temperature down in order to keep your hair in check! Drinking lots of water and eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables are also excellent ways to maintain gorgeous hair all year long.
